Proxima Software, the OpsWise partner in the U.K. are pleased to announce that Novus Capital Markets are the 1st UK customer to go live with OpsWise Automation Center. Automating tasks on their trading floor, Novus have been able to streamline business workflows for their busy Operational Control area, improving reporting, sharing of key information, and improving business efficiency
The key requirement of Novus Capital Markets was the automation of reporting of trading activity each day. OpsWise automates the collection of transaction data from their trading platform, collates the information using Excel, and then distributes the reports to traders and settlement staff

OpsWise was deployed in Novus' all-windows environment, the OpsWise server running on Windows Server 2003, with other elements running on Windows XP and Microsoft Exchange.
Using out-of-the-box building blocks of tasks, workflows can be quickly built to execute the work that supports business processes.
Using the OpsWise user interface to create workflows, tasks are inserted into the workflow with dependencies quickly drawn between tasks. OpsWise supports full logical branching dependent upon how a task(s) completes; these are also defined through the GUI. The user has a full graphical map of their workflow which can be monitored at execution time.
